London’s Connaught Bar has taken out top honors in the World’s 50 Best Bars list for 2021, for the second year running. As well as being crowned the best bar in the world, the Connaught also made our list of London’s best bars, proving we know what we are talking about when it comes to the top drinking spots around the world. The Connaught Bar won from another London Bar, Tayēr and Elementary, with Barcelona’s Paradiso claiming the third spot. New York’s Katana Kitten topped the list of US establishments, coming in at number 10 on the global list. 2019 champion Dante dropped to 30, while Attaboy made the list at 34. While it didn’t make the final 50, LA’s Thunderbolt was named the “One to Watch.”

The World’s 50 Best Bars Academy – which comprises 600 expert members – puts the list together each year based on rating bars across 28 geographical locations. The Academy comprises 600 members, each selected for their expert opinion of the global bar scene.
