The latest luxury accommodation offering from the Airelles hospitality group may be the most opulent yet. The much anticipated Airelles Château de Versailles, Le Grand Contrôle, located on the grounds of the Versailles Palace in France, is now taking guests. King Louis XIV commissioned Jules Hardouin-Mansart to build Le Grand Contrôle in 1861, using it as a hunting lodge. It’s now one of France’s most popular tourist attractions, so it only makes sense it would be turned into a hotel. Christophe Tollemer was the man in charge of revamping the accommodations into a luxurious hotel echoing the elegance of the 1800s.
