The leaders in Nerf Gun technology, Hasbro have done it again with the Rival Curve. As the name suggests, this cool looking blaster has the ability to shoot around corners.
The Rival Curve has an adjustable barrel, enabling you to control the direction of your shot. Twist the barrel left or right to shoot around corners, up to fire straight, or down to sling foam bullets over cover.
Controlling the direction of your Nerf blaster is something Hasbro has been working on since 2015. When the toy company first introduced the line of Rival Nerf Guns, they incorporated “hop-up” technology. Scientifically known as the Magnus Effect, it basically means the ball is put on a backspin as it leaves the gun, enabling it to float through the air in a variety of directions.
There are three different models of the Rival Curve; the Flex is a simple one-shot weapon, the Sideswipe comes with a 12-round internal magazine, and the Helix is a pump-action blaster packing a whopping 20 rounds. Check out a detailed brief on each gun below:
There are no official dates for the Rival Curve, but The Flex and Sideswipe are expected in March, with the Helix arriving in August.
