When the Elisabeth Bridge was built, bringing together Buda and Pest over the Danube River, it was the Princess who opted to build the symmetrical buildings on either side of the bridge. One has become the Matild Palace. The other will be a St. Regis in the coming years. It’s no surprise yet another luxury property is opening in Budapest. There are already fine abodes in town such as the Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace and Párisi Udvar Hotel (Hyatt). The Matild, however, should be set apart.  The sheer elegance of the marriage between old and new is sure to capture attention across Hungary and beyond. Echoing all that makes Budapest a hotspot in the first place, the hotel offers an array of culinary options alongside the tremendously glamorous architecture.
