Leading Japanese brewery Sapporo has released its new hard seltzer product – Sapporo Water Sour. The ready-to-drink (RTD) hard seltzer comes in two flavors, lemon and orange. It’s sugar-free with an alcohol volume of just 3%. Water Sour is described as a low-alcohol RTD that is not too sweet and refreshes like carbonated water. Sapporo Water Sour was born in Japan and inspired by the popular RTD “Hard Seltzer” made popular in the United States and other countries. Sapporo Much like their premium beer, Sapporo Water Sour will be easily recognizable by featuring the bright star logo, accompanied by a multicolored design on the top of the can. The brand said in their original June release that “we will contribute to the further revitalization of the RTD market by launching products that meet the needs of young people for drinking alcohol.” Available nationwide in Japan, there’s no word yet on if and when the Sapporo Water Sour will be launched internationally.
