This year’s CES keeps on delivering the goods. After the announcement of ColdSnap – an ice cream machine that uses pods – we now have a futuristic massage chair controlled by A.I.
The Quantum massage chair from Bodyfriend is the ultimate in body relaxation technology. The outrageous piece of tech, resembling something you’d see in a science fiction movie, includes a number of neat features.
Along with massaging your aches and pains like a standard massage chair, the Quantum has A.I. voice control so you can target sore spots without the use of a remote, built-in heating and air systems, and a Bang & Olufsen sound system for your meditation tunes. The fancy chair also has a blackout proof power reserve, so even when your house is in complete darkness you can continue to soothe your aching back. There’s also a 10.1 inch, high-definition touch screen you can control the chair with or use as a form of entertainment.
The most intriguing feature is the aforementioned A.I. system. The Nava Clova AI Voice Recognition system allows you to teach the chair what parts of your body to massage. This way you can settle in for an hour massage without having to continually program the chair to target specific areas.
Standing 47 inches tall and weighing 335 pounds, Bodyfriend’s Quantum isn’t exactly easy to store. The futuristic looking chair probably won’t match your decor either, but would be a standout feature of any man cave.
As you can imagine, tech like this doesn’t come cheap, with the Quantum retailing for $6,000. If that doesn’t deter you, Bodyfriend’s Quantum goes on sale this April. You can find more details here.
